To the North of Israel and the Galilee

I’m having some difficulty with uploading the photos of our day, but this will give you some of our day. Pictures will follow.

October 26 - Touring begins After two days of traveling to arrived here in Israel, our group made it from all over the States and started our day with a wonderful Israeli buffet breakfast at our hotel in Netanya. Our first stop was Caesarea Maritima located on the Mediterranean. Pastor Ed opened to Word of God to us from the amphitheater built by Herod the Great. He told us the story of Cornelius and Peter. Emphasizing that this is where the Gentile Church really began. It was from this place that Apostle Paul was sent to Rome. His last sight of Israel.  Continuing North we went to the port city of Haifa where we ascended the hill for a beautiful overview of the city and the Baha’i Garden. We enjoyed a lunch at a Druze Restaurant. Pastor Bill brought a devotional at Mt. Carmel where Elijah challenged the prophets of Baal. We had an amazing clear day to view the Jezreel Valley. From here we went Southeast to Megiddo and explored the tell of 26 superimposed cities with remains from King Solomon’s days. Several of us walked down into the water tunnel under the city.  Crossing the Plains of Jezreel we drove to the city of Nazareth. What a beautiful sight as we watched the sun set over the Jezreel Valley. We drove through the city Cana of Galilee on the way to our hotel for the night.

What a great day. We were all tired out.  Sent from my iPad
